The February Newsletter
The first meeting of this year found SADRA voting into
office, a new club executive. They are Haydn Powis, President, Matt Blasco, Vic-President,
Andy Kandel, Treasurer and Fran Joss,
Secretary. We are all looking forward to an exciting
year ahead.
The club has put in a request to work at another
casino. The draws for the available
dates will be later this month and hopefully we should know by next meeting
when ours will be.
The club is currently running another raffle. The prize is a Makita ½ inch cordless
drill. There are only 500 tickets @
$2.00 each. The winner for the raffle
will be drawn on April 19th at the Spring Breakout car show in Fort MacLeod.
It’s a sure sign that spring is not far off with the local
swap meet that was held on Saturday, February 16th, here in
Lethbridge. The club had a table and our
volunteers were selling raffle tickets, T-shirts and hats, and club memberships
which are still selling for the low price of $1.00.
The Street Wheelers Car Club recently made a substantial donation to our club to help us with the purchase of the drag strip property. THANK YOU STREET WHEELERS!!!!
It is our hope that drag racers and friends of drag racing
will continue to step up with donations to help us purchase the property. We would appreciate any help that you can
provide in this regard.
Our next regular meeting is on Wednesday, March 5th at 7:30 pm at JOSS TECHNICAL LTD. 3218 – 12th Avenue North, Lethbridge. We hope to see you there!
